Looking for a Battery

Brock Wickhorst Aug 05, 2015 07:13PM EDT

I have a small solar panel that was originally used for a spotlight on a trailer advertisement. This panel is a 21 volt panel (amp unknown as my meter is only AC) and it use to charge a 12V car battery. I am not looking to use this small panel for hiking in the backcountry and I am wanting a battery to use with it. I was looking at a Antigravity Battery from a local shop however I am more intrigued with your V72 battery as it it lighter and holds more power. I know your battery is maxed at 20V and I wanted to be sure my 21V panel would be ok with this battery before I purchase it.

Thoughts>?

Hi Brock,

20V is indeed on the technical specs, but we have used similar panels (PowerFilm panels are close to 25V open circuit) with the V72 with good results. I think you should be fine.
